Windsurfing Encyclopedia covers
the history of sport from the first conversation between two aeronautical
engineers in 1966, when the concept of windsurfing was born and the first ever
windsurf board was constructed in a garage. Rare 8mm film footage captures the
first water test made at Marina del Rey, California in May 1967.
The documentary highlights the
fast pace at which the sport of windsurfing has grown. At the Professional
Windsurfing Association (PWA) tour, they compete in course racing, downwind
slaloms, freestyle, indoor events, and wave sailing. There are incredible shots
of windsurfers doing freestyle aerial tricks and competing in high-speed races.
Team racing in windsurfing is a new concept, which is picking up fast. These
